Professional Journey and Commitment -Â BCBA behaviour support in Cheshire East
As a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA), my work is rooted in a simple belief: every child and young person deserves to be understood, not just managed.
Â
My journey into behaviour analysis didn’t begin in a clinic - it began hands-on, supporting children and families in real-life settings. From working in residential care and schools to leading Positive Behaviour Support services, I’ve spent over two decades supporting children and young people with autism, ADHD, learning disabilities and complex needs.
This experience has shaped how I work today. I understand that behind every behaviour is a child or young person trying to communicate, and a family or staff team doing their best to navigate it. My role is to bring clarity, structure and practical strategies that genuinely fit into everyday life.

Using evidence-based Positive Behaviour Support, I work closely with families, schools and other settings to understand behaviours that challenge and to create meaningful, lasting change - at home, in school or through remote support.
As both a Behaviour Analyst and a mum, I understand the emotional and practical challenges families face. That perspective is at the heart of my work - making sure the support I provide is not only evidence‑based, but ethical, realistic and achievable in real life.

My goal is simple: to help children and young people thrive, and to help the people around them feel confident, supported and understood.
Evidence-Based Support with a Human Touch
I believe that every behaviour is a form of communication. Behind every behaviour is a need, and understanding that need is the first step towards meaningful change.

My approach is rooted in Positive Behaviour Support, using evidence-based strategies to understand behaviours that challenge and the environments that influence them. Rather than focusing on behaviour alone, I look at the bigger picture - what a child or young person is experiencing, what they need, and how we can support them in a way that feels realistic and sustainable.

By combining data-informed strategies with empathy and understanding, I create tailored support that prioritises dignity, independence and quality of life. My aim is not just to provide answers, but to help families, schools and services feel confident in how to move forward.
